Leinster Rugby Competition for school kids

Have a look at this great competition that our Charity Partners Leinster Rugby are running for school kids!

Leo the Lion has been cheering on the boys in blue for quite some time now. He has been in the game for years, on the good and on the bad days. But now, he needs your help. Leinster Rugby is challenging you to design a new friend for him. The crowds have gotten bigger and the fans have become louder so Leo needs a buddy!

Leinster Rugby wants their supporters to enter as many pictures and designs as possible. Ten pieces of art will be chosen by the Leinster squad and these artists will be invited up to a Leinster match in the RDS at the end of the season with their families (ticket will entitle 2 adults and 2 children entry to the RDS). The winning entries will also be displayed at the RDS on match day and in the Evening Hearld.

All Top Ten entries will go to an online vote where the public will pick a winner.

The winning school will receive:
• Tickets for the winning artist and 400 of his/her school friends/teachers to a Leinster match in the 2013/14 season.
• Leinster Party in your school.
• Leinster merchandise.
• Terms and Conditions Apply (please see website)
The school who submits the most entries will win a signed Leinster jersey.

SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon

Massive shout out to Dec McDonagh and his friends who are aiming to run 15 Marathons in 2015.

The gang are running in aid of The Ronald McDonald House in Crumlin which provides accommodation for parents and siblings of seriously ill children attending Crumlin Children's Hospital.

This is their designated charity as Tena's daughter, Andrea passed away in 2001 aged 15mths so they are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

They kick started their challenge back on the 24th January at the MCI Marathon in Lilliput, Co Westmeath and now have just finished their 4th Marathon recently.

Their next Marathon stop will be in Paris so please give them a shout out and support their great cause!

On behalf of the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon team, we'd like to wish you the very best of luck and we look forward to seeing you at the start line in October for our 36th event.

Keep us posted on your progress!
