On Saturday 16th April 2011, the annual Ronald McDonald House Cycle took place around the beautiful Blessington Lakes.  Although not a Race we did recognise the following people:

50K – Stephen Oglesby
25K – David Megonnety

The NAC Swim club are running a charity Swimming Gala in aid of The Ronald McDonald House on Sunday 27^th February at The National Aquatic Centre.

The NAC McSwim will be streamed live on the club’s website, will have many aquatic disciplines on display, including a Mini Minnows Gala for novices, a short course gala for more experienced swimmers, a synchronised swimming and diving display, as well as a hotly contested water polo match.  Swimmers from up and down the country will participate to…

300. The number of homes we’ve filled with hope for families in need.

When our very first Ronald McDonald House^® was built in 1974, no one could’ve imagined that one day, we might open another — let alone 300. So we’re proud and humbled to announce our newest home in St. Louis, Missouri. Like the rest, it was built on a simple idea: A child who needs care needs family there. Because when families stay together, kids heal faster.

The New National Children’s Hospital is due to open in 2015 at The Mater. We are working closely with the Board of The New Hospital with a view to providing a Ronald McDonald House for families whose children will require hospitalisation for extended periods.
